This work explores the concept of loving without taking and the delicate balance between giving and receiving within romantic partnerships. Toxic relationships often ask too much of us and sometimes, painfully enough, we find ourselves expecting too much in return. There is a particular loneliness that comes from being deeply connected to the wrong person, and this piece reflects that emotional tension.

Interestingly, this work made me reflect with gratitude on my relationship with my husband and the unconditional support he has brought into my life. I feel incredibly fortunate to experience a relationship rooted not only in love, but in genuine friendship, patience, and mutual care. In many ways, this work became a reflection on the contrast between love that consumes and love that sustains.
